My time in NYC/Rhode Island was awesome. Max was, per usual, a fantastic host. His birthday was so much fun, sans the limo driver that did not fancy me too much. Little did he know that I wasn't about to shell over $150 for being 10 minutes late (well that story may be up for interpretation).
I am blessed with such amazing people in my life, sometimes I forget how thankful I should be... especially after a summer like this one.
And I've also decided, in this 'life without a plan' mode I have fallen into, that I'd like to become an Olympic athlete. I'm pretty sure track or any sport involving running (basketball, soccer, etc) would not work for with my stubs, formally called legs. Swimming...again my body lacks the necessary proportions. Hm, volleyball possibly could have been feasible if I had a new set of knees and could add a solid 6-8 inches to my height. Yeah, my options are dwindling...I'll try this argument again when the next winter set rolls around. I could always work on my table tennis skills? I really just want one of those nifty USA jumpsuits. I'll just add all this to the to-do list.
This past weekend, me and my beloved group of girlfriends from high school headed out to put-in-bay for the weekend. Apparently I am all too enthusiastic about good live music (my friends enjoy making fun of my incessant 'fist-pumping') and I now have 34 bug bites on my legs, but other than that, I have some of the greatest friends anyone could ask for. Pictures of the insanity will be up soon, those are definitely worth sharing.
Monday morning we are heading back to SLU to 'get adjusted', which basically means enjoy some responsibility-free time before school begins. Until another day...
lots of love.
