Haiti + Internet

so internet in haiti is scarce but it is here in our compound (sporadically). so i wanted to put up a short post, i will have so much more to share when i am home but i am here, i am alive, and haiti is incredible. truly, its unlike anything i could have ever imagined. its amazing, and sad. its poverty unlike any poverty we know, imagine the inner city and replace buildings with run down huts/clay makeshift houses/ lean-to's, the streets are lined with trash, its just so different. its so unbelieveable to think that we live in a world, just north of here, with such priviledge and opportunity and they have barely nothing. but they are blessed with incredible faith, inspiring faith really. in the face of diseases we would find easily curable, they are deathly and devastating here. i could go on forever and its only my second day. our compound is so nice, the missionaries here are amazing and the clinic is really doing great work for the population around here. i am going to get off the internet now, i am going to try and learn creole, i want to learn it so bad!! love from haiti.
